The Chieftain Series are versatile, four-tracked carriers ideal for mounting drills, cranes or backhoes, widely used in the petroleum, geophysical and utility industries. The Chieftain C uses a proven wide track system and provides economical transportation of cargo and personnel in marginal terrain conditions.
The Chieftain D is a larger carrier designed to move heavier payloads in mud, muskeg, swamp and snow conditions. The high deck and sealed undercarriage provide excellent fording ability combined with high approach and departure angles. The independent crankarm suspension and flexible track provide constant ground contact and absorb shock loads.
The Chieftain R is a rubber-tracked carrier with center pivot articulated steering. It is a high speed carrier for personnel and cargo. The airbag suspension rides smoothly over rough terrain without loss of traction. In addition, the frame oscillates to follow the ground contour, this combination allows more engine horsepower to be converted to carrying power which improves fuel efficiency.
